Has anyone ever received a work/job grant after starting full time work and being on JSA.
When l was at my last new deal interview he said l might be eligible for a work grant as l had been on JSA for 6months without a break.
l got sent my P45 but there was no mention of a job grant, l wondered if anyone knew how it worked whether they'd send me it or put in my bank.
l am only asking as l started this job and not paid until Oct 30th so l have no money at all.

Have you looked on the job centre plus website they should have some info there. You could also call your job centre adviser and ask them

You qualify for a job grant if u have been claiming JSA for 6 months without a break, u leave to start work, the job is over 16 hours a week, & expected to last for at least 5 weeks. If u have not already, u will need to notify ur Jobcentreplus office of all those details, not just that u have started work.
It is generally paid into ur bank account if that is the way u r normally paid. It is the Benefit Processing Section, & not ur New Deal adviser, who decides on entitlement. Your New Deal adviser can only advise u on what u may be entitled to. He cannot categorically state that u will be entitled to a job grant, as that is not his job role. His role is (or was, now u r in work) to support u in looking for work.
