l had to remind the interviewers that l had a sheet of references to give them before l left. Is that a bad sign? They told me to bring them when l talked over the phone. l felt l did poorly and should take another offer.

They probably just forgot. Most places do not call references until after they have decided who to hire. Do not be too quick to make a decision. If you have another offer, take as long as they will give you to give them an answer. You'd be surprised. Some interviews you think you did great on, you will not get and some that you think you did poorly, you get. There is no telling.
