A phone interview is when an interview wants to chat with the job seeker before bringing him/her for a face to face interview. Just smile when the interviewer calls and research everything you need to know about the position and best buy. The typical questions are tell me something about yourself and what type of position are you looking for?

well a phone interview is just like a face to face interview. except that in face to face there is non-verbal communication. in a phone interview its solely what u say & how u say it. prepare for the interview mentally as u would any other, think of possible questions they will ask like why should we hire you? why do u want this job? tell me a little bit about yourself? what is ur greatest strenght? what is ur biggest weakness? how would u deal with an unruly customer? tell me how you'd handle these situations. think of any situations u may encounter while working in that position & how u would handle them so even if he doesnt ask all of these questions u have prepared mentally to handle it. & preparing for these will help u in case the interviewer throws out a curveball question. now being at home has the advantage that u can be comfortably in ur p.j.s in bed, but be sure u r somewhere where it is quiet. u can write ur down if u want to, but dont read them off as though they r rehearsed. do not sit at ur computer because the interviewer will be able to hear that u r at ur computer & know u r looking on google for the best answer. just do ur best. they r not looking for perfect, just good. hope l helped.
