What is a good profession in the Medical Field? l currently work in LTC as a Rec Therapy assistant (what my degree is in) and i'm going back to school for Medical billing/Coding, but its very inpersonal with people, which is what l love. l thought about doing RN or MA but l hate giving shots or seeing cuts and things like that. l was wondering if anyone knew a good easy entry (if its schooling involved i'm ok with that) level job in the medical field. Typically a 4 year degree & excellent pay:

1.) Registered Dietitian
2.) Pharmacist
3.) Occupational or Physical Therapist
4.) Nursing home or Hospital Administrator
5.) Teacher who tutors kids in the hospital so they can keep up with classes (education degrees where l live r 5 years).
6.) Clinical Social Worker who works in LTC & hospitals. l think you'd really like this job.
7.) Mental Health/Psychiatric nurse. This may be an option for u if the program where u live is the same as it is in Canada. Here we have Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs). l believe they r more common in some provinces than others. It is a 3 year diploma. You can choose to work in an *outpatient mental health setting*. You will help patients with severe mental illness to adjust & remain in society (with the MDs help of course). Although some of ur training will overlap with RNs, & u will see some ''blood & guts u typically will not have to deal with this after u begin working, unless u choose to work in inpatient and/or LTC. Then u will usually provide all required patient care from injections to enemas.

Less education (typically 1-2 years) & less pay:

1.) X-ray tech (although u may have to deal with ''gore''-i.e. compound fractures).
2.) Pharmacy Tech
3.) Art Therapy assistant
4.) Medical or Dental Receptionist
