How do you get experience for a job if no one will hire you with no experience? ?

most cases they assume you went to college and did a interim

Make Volunteer experience, Education highlights ( like what you studied, what core classes, etc.) and awards or other licenses you might have obtained the main bullets on your resume. What you can not put down in a resume, write your strengths in a cover letter stating that you are entry level and search for a fresh start at a new career.

You will have to work as an intern, it is works this way.
say u have studied accounting, u would apply in an accounting firm, showing them what u have learned, & u should tell them, u would like to work for them without getting paid. This way the employer has nothing to lose, & in most cases, the employer gives a small pay by the time u finish ur intern ship. Intern ships can be 2 months to up to 12 months long.

The above method is what l used & it definitely helped me move forward.

The first step.

l entered accounting, before l graduated, in a recession, by sheer tenacity & perseverance.

l am from a very rural area. Within 40 miles of my house were around 25 CPA firms. l made up a resume & a killer (or so l thought) cover letter & went after work ( l was working in a factory), & dropped them off. It took me over a week to drop off all the resumes, in person.

While there, l got the hiring person is name.

Then, for weeks, l went back to the closer ones, twice a week, to the farther ones, once a week. Asked to speak with the hiring manager.

The second go through l dropped off references & ''checked the status''. The third go through, l dropped off letters of recommendation (from boss at factory, first boss, professors, whatever l had).

Then l just went back & kept bugging them.

After about two months, half the places told me that if l came back they would call the cops. l still went back.

Finally, one of the offices had an opening for... a copy girl. Not exactly the break l wanted, but it was on Saturday/Sunday, extra money & my foot in the door.

3 months later he offered me a full time gig, 6 months later l had 3 women reporting to me & helped the owner turn a 10 client office, into a 100 monthly client office.

It can be done, if u want it bad enough.

And no one ever said life was easy, or fair.

Good question. I've wondered that myself. Sometimes it takes a good amount of looking till you find someone that will train you.there are perks to that as they can pay you less than a more experienced person. Or maybe just get something menial in that environment ( l am not sure what you're looking for) and maybe try to work your way up a bit. Or plan C, maybe work a few temporary jobs to gain as much experience as possible.
