So l have a DUl on my record and l just got laid off from my current job (not due to the DUI) so how do l handle having a DUl on my record and getting a new job? should l just str8 up tell them in an interview?

Dont mention it unless u were asked. When u fill out the application, answer truthfully to the conviction question, unless u had it expunged.
Unless it is a job that involves driving, liqour or drugs, then u should be fine.
If they r asking for details on the application, give them the date u were convicted, the charge, the Penal COde number & ur case number. Also add, u welcome the opportunity to discuss the case in person if necessary.
