l am an employee for an organization for a year and a half now, from the start and until now, l encounter the same problem all over again, l can not meet deadlines, poor operational output and hard time to interact with one of my co-worker a former friend, My work is clerical and my real interest is in IT, my family do not want me to resign and take risk to apply for a job in a call center industry in another city far from where l reside.What should l do?

its not ur final option, u could ask to be transferred to a different department where the distraction of the former friend wo not be a problem. & if u can not focus at all which could be why u r not meeting deadlines u might want to be checked for adult attention deficit disorder. l though l was a screw up til l was diagnosed with it, but with a once daily medication l do not find my mind wandering & the pressures l once felt r no longer there as l can start & finish tasks now that l can concentrate on them.
